Gates ready to go up at new base

The gates were taken down by Boro fans Dave Hunter, Dave Morgan and Kev Matthews last year and placed in storage.

They are now ready to be spruced up and put in pride of place at the new ground.

Chairman Trevor Bull said: “It is hoped that they will be back out of storage and up at the new ground as soon as next month.

“Dave Hunter and other fans took them down and have been looking after them.

“This is the kind of help we need because there are a lot of similar jobs that need doing before we move in.

“We are hopefully holding a fans meeting over the next two weeks to introduce ourselves and have a chat about where we are and how people can help.”
