That goal was followed by one each from Chester Driver and Rupert Bentley as the home side took control of the contest.

Man of the match for the Hurricanes went to Will Marrington, who scored the final goal of the game and worked tirelessly in the match putting in some strong tackles for his side.

Filey Holt Under-12s produced another fantastic team display to cruise past West Pier.

West Pier started the contest brightly and could have taken the lead had it not been for a fingertip save by Archie Thompson.

Austin Thompson also denied the hosts a great chance with a last ditch tackle to keep the Holt goal intact.

Tom Richardson opened the scoring for Filey Holt, coolly slotting into the back of the Pier net after a neat interchange with Jay Marsh in the build-up.

Marsh was soon pulling the strings again as he managed to split the West Pier defence with a delightful pass to allow Logan Tuck to rifle in for a 2-0 lead.

West Pier pulled one back to make things interesting and set up a potentially nervy finale.

But Marsh soon switched from provider to goalscorer as he raced through the Pier defence and saw his effort deflected into the net by a sliding defender.

Richardson bagged again with a pinpoint strike as Filey started to dominate and Marsh hit a fifth to give Holt a five - one lead at the interval.

Filey struck again soon after the break when Oscar Jennison combined beautifully with Logan Tuck who finished with aplomb.

Ollie Blackburn struck two glorious long range efforts to put Filey out of sight before West Pier pulled two back late on.

Cayton Under-15s drew 1-1 against Thornton Dale.

The wind destroyed any chance of quick passing game but did produce an end-to-end encounter.

Thornton took a one-goal lead into the second half but repeated attacks saw Cayton get a deserved leveller through Alfie Pearce.

The game was wide open and despite the efforts of all the players a draw was a fair result.
