Home cup draw for Amotherby & Swinton

YORK League division one side Amotherby & Swinton have been handed a home draw in the quarter-finals of the North Riding County FA Saturday Challenge Cup.

Matty Hood’s team, pictured left before their win at home to Lealholm in the previous game in the competition, will play host to Redcar Newmarket in the final eight on Saturday February 2.

Scarborough League division one champions West Pier make the trip to tackle University of York Amateur, while fellow Scarborough side Edgehill face a long trip to Bedale and Thirsk Falcons are at home to Redcar Town.

In the Sunday Challenge Cup, West Pier are away at The Globe, and Scarborough rivals Trafalgar are at home to Middlebeck or West Middlesbrough Academy.

On Saturday the second round game between Westover Wasps and West Pier in the Scarborough & District F.A. Harbour Cup was postponed owing to both sides having their pitches waterlogged, the game has been rearranged for Saturday January 5, 1.15pm ko.

This Saturday the other outstanding game between Scalby and Whitby Fishermen is scheduled to take place, 1.15pm ko.

All the games in the Scarborough League were postponed on Saturday, this week hopefully two games will be played, in the first division Edgehill v Newlands, and in the third division Seamer Sports Reserves will play Westover Wasps Reserves.
