Jordan Lee is hoping his Itis Itis Rovers side can beat rivals West Pier and progress in the District Cup.

Lee said: “We’re looking forward to the game.

“I should have a strong side to take. Alistair Jennings is still recovering from a knee injury so he won’t feature.

“We have a few new faces that will play a part in the game and we’re hoping we can get the win.

“Pier will be strong, they always are, they’re a big club.

“But after the results we got against them last season there’s no reason why the lads can’t go out and get a result on Saturday.

“We’ve had a tricky start to the new season, obviously losing the first game to Newlands and getting knocked out of the North Riding Cup hasn’t been ideal, but after the win on Saturday we’re just looking to try and build a bit of momentum.

“We play Pier on Saturday and then Edgehill the week after, so we need to keep results going our way or face being in a very difficult situation.

“To get a win on Saturday will create a buzz around the team again, something that’s been lacking since the disappointment of the North Riding Cup final. Hopefully we can get the job done.”

Elsewhere in the District Cup Hunmanby play Edgehill, Scalby host Newlands and Seamer take on Filey.

In the Scarborough & District FA Junior Cup, Alec Coulson’s Edgehill Reserves are on home soil against Beckett League side Kirkbymoorside Reserves.

There are three other clashes between Scarborough League and Beckett League sides in the competition.

Elsewhere in that competition, Newlands Reserves are at home against Scalby Reserves.

There are two scheduled fixtures in Division Two with Eastfield Athletic hosting FC Rosette and Goal Sports on home soil against Filey Town Reserves.
