Firstly, I would just like to thank everyone at Scarborough Athletic for the opportunity to take over as manager.
I spoke to the chairman on numerous occasions last week and I was sold because Scarborough is a big club from a town with plenty of footballing history.
This is a project that I’m really looking forward to getting started.
To start with we need as many bodies into the ground as possible to help us turn things around.
I went to Brighouse and the home game against Northwich, the support was great. We need that support because the more people who come through the gates, the better players we can get at this club.
We want to make it entertaining and that is what the supporters want to see.
There were 380 fans at the last game and we need to appreciate every one of them.
During the week we all work hard and at the weekends you all want your bit of pleasure.
Football fans get theirs at matches and we have to say thank you for that.
I thought it was a bit disrespectful that the Scarborough players didn’t aapplaud and thank the fans at Brighouse and against Northwich.
Maybe they were disappointed with their performances or whatever else.
That respect will definitely be rekindled at future matches.
It will be the same from myself.
I underline that I will always talk to anybody, as long as it is done in the right way.
I am always accessible if anybody wants a chat.
It isn’t just about me though, it is about Scarborough Athletic and how we are going to take this club forward.
That goes from the tea lady, the guy that washes the kit, through to the players, the board and the supporters.
We are all together as one club.
