A trio of new faces will be attending Scarborough Athletic’s first pre-season training session on Tuesday night.
Defender Paul Robson will join up with midfielders Warren Burrell and Jarrod Smalley at the session, which will take place at Hull University.
Former Newport County and Lincoln City man Robson spent last season at North Ferriby United, while Burrell was skipper at Sheffield FC.
Smalley, a former British Colleges international, turned out for landlords last season after leaving Farsley.
The trio could follow fellow new faces Zeph Thomas, Tom Burgin and Steve Burton into Rudy Funk’s squad.
The Boro chief said: “We will have quite a few new faces at training and we are all really looking forward to getting going.
“The month and a half we have had since the season finished just hasn’t been enough, we have been cramming so much into that time.
“I haven’t sat down and spoken to Paul, Warren and Jarrod yet, but they are showing genuine intent by the fact that they want to come to training.”
Boro have been forced to switch their training sessions this season from their previous base at Bishop Burton College due to Premiership side Hull City now taking up tenancy their.
Some hard work from assistant boss Bryan Hughes made sure that Boro won’t be homeless though, as he secured the excellent facilities at Hull’s University.
Funk added: “Hull have taken over the facilities at Bishop Burton, which is something we have no complaint about.
“I would like to thank James Earl and everyone at Bishop Burton, they have all been fantastic.
“Bryan put his feelers out straight away and we have now landed the excellent set-up at Hull University. Lets hope these new surroundings give us a further lift.”
