The new-look Bridlington Town team kicked off their pre-season friendlies with a 2-1 win at Rossington Main on Saturday.
New signing Chris Adams, who has arrived from Hall Road Rangers, opened the scoring and an old face, last season’s joint top scorer Craig Hogg, sealed the win.
On Tuesday, they beat a Scarborough League Representative XI 7-2, with 20 or so players getting a run out.
Defender Chris Jenkinson opened the scoring with a stunning free kick. An own goal doubled the tally, and Josh Heseltine and Danny Norton added more first half strikes, although ex-Town player Billy Logan pulled one back.
Will Waudby, Hogg and Adams found the net after the break, and Logan replied with his second after a smart run and finish.
This Saturday, the Seasiders face Bedlington Terriers, who finished 20th in the Northern League.
An extra game has been added on Saturday July 26, when Bacup and Rossendale Borough visit Queensgate.
