Boro’s Junior sides had mixed fortunes over the past week in the Hull Boys Sunday League.
The under-12s were at home against second-placed North Ferriby United, who were unbeaten with three wins from three so far.
The visitors extended that run with a 4-1 victory over the Boro boys. Two goals in each half were enough for the vistors, although Aidan Thurston could have put Boro ahead from the penalty spot early on, but he skewed his shot wide.
Will Bradley scored a consolation for Boro with a cross-shot which trickled over the line.
Boro under-16s won 5-1 away at East Riding Black. Connor Campbell notched a hat-trick, with Sam Spivey and Jordan Shaw scoring the other goals.
Boro under-19s were at home on Monday evening in the league cup against Altofts.
The side from the Northern under-19 Alliance central division, currently in second place, won through 3-2.
Boro took the lead through Luke Foster, but the visitors went 3-1 up. Boro pulled one back through Ali Caw in the last five minutes, but it was too little, too late.
This weekend the under-12s travel to Hall Road Rangers in the second round of the knock-out cup, while the under-16s face a local derby against FC Filey in the under-16s knock-out cup.
That game will be played at Snainton on Sunday, kick-off at 2pm.
