The North Riding FA are giving coaches and referees the chance to further their skills with two courses next week.
Both courses will be held at the University of Hull Scarborough Campus and will be charged at £25 for a three-hour session.
The first, which takes place on Monday night from 6pm to 9pm, will be a safeguarding children workshop.
It is for everyone who works with young people and focuses on making football safe. The course teaches the football workforce to promote best practice to protect young people. Candidates will learn how to recognise signs and symptoms of abuse and understand fears involved in these concerns.
The second, the FA Emergency First Aid Course, will be held on Wednesday at the same time.
It will cover every aspect of first aid, including incident management, assessing the casualty, the recovery position, CPR, heart attacks, choking, asthma and head injuries.
