IT was all about the hard work for Scarborough Athletic on Saturday when they bagged a 2-1 NCEL Premier win at Brighouse.
Boro fell behind in the first half, but two moments of true quality from striker Ryan Blott handed Paul Olsson’s men all the points.
This was Boro’s second consecutive win in all competitions after they bounced back from a run of defeats. It also provided the club with a hefty boost ahead of tomorrow’s Presidents Cup semi-final at Farsley.
Olsson said: “I thought we played the football in the game, despite the fact that it wasn’t easy on a bobbly pitch.
“We fell behind, but we showed great character to bounce back, level up and then take the lead.
“We are learning as a team all the time. A few weeks ago we may have made a wrong decision or two in the latter stages, but we saw it out professionally and picked up the points.
“The lads worked very hard throughout and at the end of it we deserved the win.
“It has given us a boost ahead of the Farsley game, which is a good game to be involved in and a great chance to get into the final of a cup.
