Pllu smashes in hat-trick as Scalby hammer Holt

Kieran Regan opened the scoring after 10 minutes with a shot into the bottom corner after springing the offside trap.

Despite constant pressure, Holt dug in and produced a superb lobbed equaliser after a simple through-ball created havoc in the home defence.

A smart penalty save from the Holt keeper kept them in it until Pllu opened his account with a tap-in after good approach work.

The Otters piled on the pressure in the second half, and Pllu completed his hat-trick in style.

Further goals from Eric Hall (2), Regan and Thomas Bowes put a shine on the performance.

Holt’s keeper, who made a string of superb saves, also deserves credit.

Heslerton Hawks Under-14s and Scholes Park fought out a scrappy battle with no shortage of commitment on both sides.

Heslerton, depleted by injuries, had the better of the early stages with captain Ben Flinton and Tom Allan feeding Jayden Isaacs, who fired in a hat-trick.

Park battled back, creating plenty of chances of their own, with Tom Hutchinson their stand out performer.

It was Hutchinson’s running that broke down the Hawks defence and allowed the Raiders to claw back and eventually win the game.

Man of the match honours were shared by Tom Owen and Tom Sellars-Horsley, who covered admirably in unfamiliar roles for the Hawks.

Heslerton Under-12s visited Phoenix Colts and played out one of the games of the season so far.

Entertaining from the start and with everyone playing their part, both sides held the lead before Heslerton took what seemed a decisive 5-3 advantage with goals from Dylan Fawcett, Charlie Richardson and a hat-trick from man of the match Billy Keough.

However, Phoenix Colts fought back to score twice late in the game and take a share of the points.

Ayton Under-10s welcomed Cayton for a well-contested game.

After an even start, Ayton scored through a well-taken Edwyn Elliot-Hobson goal from outside the box.

Ayton then added another in the second-half, leading scorer Jack Townsend finishing nicely across the keeper after a good passing move.

Man of the match was shared between Elliot-Hobson and Harry Maw.

Scholes Park Tigers Under-10s continued their unbeaten run with some fantastic football from the whole team against Hunmanby.

Scholes’ coach said: “The hard work the lads have been putting into training each week is really starting to pay off and they are showing some real passion.

“Another two wins, but more to be pleased about was the quality of the football.

“It was a great effort from all the players.

“Also well done to Hunmanby, who are always a pleasure to play against.”

Honours were shared as Heslerton Under-10s travelled to Thornton Dale.

A Harry Richardson strike put Heslerton in front, only for the home side to hit back immediately.

Despite their best efforts Heslerton couldn’t find a winner.

In the second game strikes from Beck Hutchinson, Matthew Moss, Lincon Welburn, Max Taylor-Barber and Rio Howden saw the away team home safely.

Men of the match were Howden and Harry Thompson.

Heslerton Pirates Under-Nines gave two battling performances away to a strong Scholes Park.

A Smith free-kick which was helped over the line by Kendrew was little consolation in game one, which saw Dade make some fine saves

Game two was another tough game, which saw Dade score for the visitors but again the hosts proved disciplined.

Heslerton Buccaneers Under-Nines hosted Thornton Dale in an end-to-end game.

Buccaneers were first to score, a fantastic through-ball from Matthew Bannister found Warren Santon, who found the net.

Thornton held strong and soon got the equaliser after a superb solo drive.

Both teams were battling and neither side could find the winner.

Match two was more of the same from both sides providing entertainment.

Thornton found the winning goal with a superb left-footed finish.

Heslerton Under-Eights Hedgehogs took on Kirkbymoorside.

The first match was a fantastic encounter and finished with two goals from Dylan Oxendale and one for Noah Johnson, resulting in the game being drawn.

The second match was another keenly contested one with some great football from both sides.

The game finished with four goals from Oxendale and two for John Mathers, which was enough to earn the Hedgehogs the win.

Parents’ player was Jamie Moss and man of the match went to Oxendale.
