SAT DIV 2: Filey Town Reserves fight back for win at Snainton
Runaway Division Two leaders Filey Town Reserves came back from a goal down to secure a 5-1 triumph at Snainton.
A James Wilson strike put the villagers ahead at the interval but Max Gage equalised for Town before his brother Joe scored twice in quick succession to turn the game on its head.
A good finish from man of the match Tom Haxby and a fine shot from Aaron Howard put the seal on the win for the away side.
West Pier Reserves put a major dent in Seamer Sports Reserves' hopes of catching Filey, with the hosts storming to a 7-2 home success against the villagers.
Mikey Anderson opened the scoring for Pier with a cross-cum-shot, Rich Tolliday doubling the lead for the hosts before Anderson hammered in a fierce shot from 20 yards into the top corner.
Tolliday added another before the break, with goals from Sam Walker and Tom Adams giving Seamer hope early in the second half.
This hope was soon extinguished by Anderson's hat-trick goal, soon followed by Tolliday's own treble being completed.
Dave Crawford completed the scoring in his first game since 14 weeks out through injury.
Centre-backs Jack Brown and Clayton Walker were the men of the match for Pier, with keeper Gaz Walters the Seamer star man.
Debutant Jack Gates scored four goals as Falsgrave earned a 7-0 win at nine-man Newlands Reserves.
Veteran Lee Smyth, Tommy Day and sub Joe Sunter also notched for the away side, Day setting up six goals from his forward role with Sean Hughes also impressing on the left flank.
Edgehill Reserves cruised to an 8-3 home win against FC Rosette.
Jon Cairns and Andy Noon smashed in a couple of goals apiece for the hosts, with brothers Gary and Carl Hepples also on target along with player-boss Martyn Ferrey and Kieran
Simon McDonald scored two cracking goals for the Newby team with young striker Dane Robinson capping a fine game with a neat finish.
Man of the match for Rosette was keeper Mikey Harland, while Ferrey also praised his keeper Paul Manning for a string of fine saves.
