Sleights smashed in 13 while Mike Keld’s Soba side ran out winners at home to Cayton Reserves.

Edgehill Reserves 5 (Burling, Prosser, Scales, Cairns, Ferrey pen) Flixton 3

Martin Cappleman’s Edgehill Reserves side dented Flixton’s promotion push with a 5-3 win at Staxton.

Flixton led but a Matty Burling header restored parity.

Edgehill came out stronger in the second half and goals from Jason Prosser, Tom Scales, Jon Cairns and a Martyn Ferrey penalty put them 5-1 up.

Flixton fought back with two of their own but it was too late for them to salvage anything from the game.

Snainton 3 (Webster, Silk, Bell) Scalby 1 (Scales)

Snainton picked up three points from their home clash against Scalby.

Mike Webster fired the home side into a 1-0 lead before man of the match Matthew Silk doubled their lead after Paul I’Anson’s header rebounded out to him.

Scalby rallied and Shaun Scales was quickest to react after Carl Townley’s superb free-kick was well-saved by James Sanderson in the Snainton goal and duly made it 2-1 heading into the interval.

Sleights 15 (Watson 3, Smith 3, Faichney 2, Ingham 2, Brennan, Locker, Martin, McCarthy, Hancock) Westover Wasps Reserves 0

Table-toppers Sleights ran in an incredible 15 goals against seven-man Westover Wasps Reserves.

Ben Watson continued his superb goalscoring form with a hat-trick while Ian Smith also registered three goals.

Jake Faichney and Rob Ingham both notched a brace apiece and there were goals for Lee Brennan, who opened the scoring, Ian Locker, Andy Martin, Mark McCarthy and Stuart Hancock.

Sleights have now scored 44 goals in their last four games and are looking good for promotion from division three.

FC Soba 5 (Rackham 2, Moor 2, Stubbings) Cayton Reserves 0

Soba are keeping pace with the league leaders and they picked up maximum points from their game against Cayton Reserves.

Man of the match Tim Moor bagged a brace and in-form forward Craig Rackham also registered a double.

Tony Stubbings’ strike rounded things off for Mike Keld’s men.

Scalby Reserves 4 (Brown, Simpson, Gregory, Arnott) Whitby RFC 1 (Craig)

Scalby Reserves ran out 4-1 winners from their home clash against Chris Headlam’s Whitby RFC.

The home side led when Mike Brown smashed into the top corner after a scramble in the area.

Central midfielder Richard Simpson doubled Scalby’s lead when he was played through and finished neatly into the bottom corner.

Scalby made it 3-0 after 55 minutes when Danny Gregory was put through by Simpson and curled around the on-rushing keeper.

The goal of the game from Darren Arnott made it 4-0 after 65 minutes when he volleyed into the top corner after a neat first touch.

Whitby RFC had the chance to register when they were awarded a penalty but Damon Craig’s attempted dink penalty came off the bar and keeper Tom Manson’s back and out for a corner.

Craig made amends from the resulting corner kick though, heading into the top corner, but it was too late for the Whitby side.

Scalby’s keeper Manson was the home side’s man of the match.

Falsgrave Reserves 1 West Pier Reserves 3 (Garnett 2, Speight)

West Pier Reserves left it late to seal the win at struggling Falsgrave Reserves.

The home side led until the 75th minute when a Sam Garnett equaliser brought Pier level after controlling the majority of proceedings.

Striker Rob Speight put Dave Crawford’s men into the lead with a neat turn and finish before Garnett’s second rounded things off.
