Boro’s season was prematurely ended when the BetVictor Northern Premier League made the call the void the season and expunge all results of the season to date.

The club have been in dialogue with their contracted players over recent weeks and a deal has been struck.

Bull (pictured right) told The Scarborough News: “The players have responded brilliantly to the club’s situation.

“We’ve come to a mutual agreement with our players over the remainder of their contracts which is to everyone’s satisfaction.

“We appreciate the financial impact on all our players and staff and thank them for their help towards securing our club’s future.”

Bull was also keen to highlight the good work of a great number of fans in recent weeks, with over £7,000 being raised so far to help the club navigate the financial implications that the coronavirus outbreak has brought.

Bull added: “More good news came from our supporters club this week when their chairman Ken Patterson presented us with a cheque for £1,000 towards our fighting fund.

“The Valley Bar Seadogs fundraising now stands at over £4,500, which is also fantastic.

“I’d like to pay tribute to all our volunteers and supporters who are all looking for ways to help us.

“Only on Tuesday I was contacted by two supporters, one to talk through their fundraising idea and another from Finland wanting to contribute as well.

“This initial phase has seen over £7,000 raised, there’s a long way to go yet but there is a plan in place and by us all working together we can get there.”

Bull was also keen to emphasise the other ways supporters can get involved to help the club come through a tricky financial situation, highlighting in particular becoming a joint owner and also signing up for the club’s monthly Boro Draw.

Bull added: “This is an extremely difficult time for us at the moment and if your looking for ways that you can help secure our future I would ask you to do two things.”

“Become a member / shareholder of the club.

“The cost is £15 per year and it gives you the opportunity to have a say in the running of the club.

“And also join the Boro Draw.

“For just £5 per month you will be helping the club financially and you could win up to £250 in the monthly draw.

“You can find details of these and other fundraising initiatives on our website.

“Our average crowd this season is 1,001 and if we can get half of those to join the Boro Draw for £5 a month it will go a long way to securing our future.”
