Skipper Michael Coulson could be fit to return to the squad, with versatile wing-back Josh Barrett facing a pre-match fitness test having suffered with a dead leg.

Boss Darren Kelly said: "I'm hoping Coulo will be fit enough to join the squad for Witton, we'll have to wait and see on that one.

"Josh has been suffering with a dead leg this week and didn't train, so he will have to have a pre-match fitness test to see if he's good to go.

"They're both so integral to our side so I'm really hopeful they'll both be involved for what will be a tough test again."

Kelly intended to watch Witton in action last weekend, but a car accident on the A64 prevented him from doing so.

The Boro chief is aware of Albion's strengths though.

"It'll be a tough match, but every match in this league is tough," added Kelly.

"They have some decent players who I know very well, but we have put together a gameplan and we go there fully confident of continuing our superb start to the season."
