Scarborough Ladies U12s hit the goal trail at Marton

Scarborough Ladies Under-12s made the trip to Marton and went goal crazy, defeating the hosts 19-1 in their latest Teesside Alliance League fixture.

Gracie McLoughlin found the breakthrough with a neat finish which then opened the floodgates.

McLoughlin went on to net a further five goals and Alesha Grime with five led the scoring charts.

Rebecca Addison netted a hat-trick and doubles from Jemima Chapman and Brooke Southern along with a strike from Lola Bayes completed the rout.

Scarborough Ladies Under-14s made it five wins out of five with a 3-0 home victory against Brooklyn.

Kelsie McGough’s scoring streak continued with a well-taken goal to take Boro into a 1-0 half-time lead.

Scarborough upped the pressure playing with the wind in the second half and a fine first time finish from Sarah Brennan and a long range effort from Faye Leppington-Betts made the final score 3-0.

Player of the match for Boro was Libby Spencer-Coggins, closely followed by Phoebe Philps.

Scarborough Ladies Under-16s entertained top-of-the-table Farsley Celtic.

Playing with the strong wind in the first half the home side couldn’t quite use it to their advantage.

The visitors took the lead following a free-kick launched high into the box that the wind held up and allowed a Farsley striker to nip in and slot home.

With half-time approaching Boro needed a goal and it came when Evie Wardell bravely headed through for the prolific Amy Marrass to cooly fire past the keeper.

After the break Farsley took immediate advantage of the wind, their impressive midfielder controlling a goal-kick and firing in.

Another goal followed quickly after, but this only brought about a determined effort from the home side.

The constant threat of Louise Bean’s pace on the break finally paid dividends as she chased a through-ball.

Her shot stung the hands of the keeper and fell to the feet of Daniella Babouche who fired home.

At 3-2 the game looked in the balance, however two quickfire goals by the visitors thwarted any chances the Boro girls getting something from the game.

Another superb effort by the girls in the most testing of conditions against the best team in the league.

Scarborough Ladies Under-11s hosted Poppleton in very windy conditions.

The home side nearly broke the deadlock with some great play from new signing Rachel Hodgson, but her effort was just off target.

Then a great individual run from Alice Wood put the Reds in front.

In the second half Scarborough lost Ellie Sullivan to injury, and although Poppleton pilled on the pressure, Scarborough held on to the result with some resolute defending.
