Rovers dominated after the break, Luke Jones smashing in four goals and Jack Ramos wrapping up the scoring for the holders.

Four-goal hero Jones was Rovers’ man of the match.

Edgehill join Rovers in the semi-finals after a hard-fought 3-0 win on the road at Richmond Mavericks.

An accident on route saw Edgehill arrive just 20 minutes before kick-off, but that didn’t prevent Steve Clegg’s men from taking the victory and advancing to the last four.

Ryan Link, a penalty from skipper Joe Gallagher and a Robbie Scarborough strike saw Edgehill through.

Boss Clegg singled out Gallagher and Wayne Aziz as his side’s star men.

Filey Town exited the East Riding FA Senior Country Cup after a 2-1 defeat at Humber Division One outfit East Riding Rangers.

Town travelled with a bare 11 and battled hard, but fell to a 2-1 defeat despite Jack South’s strike.

Filey boss Tom Micklethwaite said: “A mention has to go to all 11 lads who travelled, they put in a great team performance.”
