Scarborough Town have already confirmed two pre-season games as they warm up for their first season in the Humber Premier League premier division.
Town boss Shaun Rennison, who will lead the first training session of the season on Wednesday July 4, may also organise a trial day to give local players the chance to join the team.
The first pre-season game is on Wednesday July 18 at York League premier division champions Old Malton St Mary’s, while Town face a longer trip on Saturday August 11, when they make the journey north to play against Northern League side Thornaby.
At the Humber Premier League AGM Town’s promotion was confirmed, but Hall Road Rangers Reserves were kicked out of the league due to a number of fines, and poor administration, for the second season in a row.
So the only team relegated was Hedon Rangers, and in the first division there were three new teams elected, Little Weighton AFC, Pinefleet Wolfeton AFC and Goole United AFC. The latter are playing their games at Gooles VPG.
Both divisions now have 16 teams each.
The Humber Premier League also had their step 7 status on the national pyramid confirmed last week by the FA. The season starts on August 18..
