Statue of Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa heading to Scarborough and Whitby this weekend

A Leeds United supporter is bringing a life-sized statue of the club's Championship-winning manager, Marcelo Bielsa, to Whitby and Scarborough this weekend.

Tony Clark is a Leeds United supporter who is trying to raise money for mental health charity Mind.

He is a Bali bomb survivor from 2002 and during lockdown, commissioned a statue from artists in Bali, of Bielsa, the Argentinian manager of Leeds United, who have just secured a long-awaited promotion from the Championship to the Premier League.

The statue was shipped over and Tony has been raising awareness for the charity since.

Tony will be bringing the statue to Whitby on Saturday afternoon and Scarborough on Sunday.

Here is his itinerary:

Sat

3:30-5pm Whitby Football Club

Sun

12-1pm Scarborough Seafront driving & parking where possible

1.30-2.30pm The Ship, Falsgrave Road

3-3.45pm Pickering Market Place

4.15pm-5pm Helmsley Market Place

Bielsa's statue has already enjoyed a tour of Yorkshire, visiting Filey, York, Harrogate and Wetherby as well as the Whites' HQ at Elland Road.
