STEVE KITTRICK: Heading into five huge cup finals

All I have said going into these final five games of the season is that they are five cup finals.

No games are easy in this league and you can guarantee that this will be the case when we step over the white line in these last few matches.

All of the teams we play in Brighouse, Colwyn Bay, Colne, Glossop and Ossett Albion will be up for it and will make things very hard for us.

At least two of the teams we play will be battling for a place in the play-offs, but a lot of things can change quickly in football.

I think that next Tuesday’s trip to Colwyn Bay will be our toughest game because they really impressed me when they beat us at our place a month or so ago.

If they can get a result on Saturday against South Shields then they’ll be buoyant heading into our game.

We have to look at Saturday’s home game against Brighouse first though.

That will be all about us showing our opponents respect and making sure that we stay strong.

Both Goole and Radcliffe had a go at us in our last couple of games, so we have to make sure that we are on our mettle.

It will be nice to get back to the Flamingo Land Stadium because we haven’t been there for a bit of time and it will be nice to turn out in front of a good number of supporters.

The fans have a big part to play in the final few games of the season and it would be great if they can help roar us over the line.

We will be mixing things up again and it is likely that Luke Dean will come straight back into the midfield.

We are waiting on Jack Johnson’s knock, but hopefully everybody else will be fit and raring to go.

There will be plenty of ifs, buts and maybes over the next week or so, it would be nice if we can get this period underway with a good win and three points on Saturday.
