SCARBOROUGH Athletic striker Ryan Blott really enjoyed teaming up with former Premier League attacker Dean Windass on Saturday.
Forty-two-year-old Windass, an ex-Hull City and Bradford City man, came on for two-goal hero Curtis Bernard just before the hour-mark and linked up well with youngster Blott.
Blott said: “It was good, I thought we linked up well in the time we played together.
“It will be great having Dean around the dressing room, passing on his knowledge.
“Having him in the team on Saturday made a huge difference as well.
“It just boosted the team spirit a little more, it was the best I have known it since I joined the club.”
Things have been a little different for Blott this term as he’s been supplying the ammunition for 10-goal top-scorer Bernard.
He added: “I have been asked to play a little deeper this season, but I’m enjoying it. Things are working very well between Curtis and myself.”
