Traf handed Thornaby trip in County Cup quarter-finals

Scarborough News Sunday League champions Trafalgar have been drawn away to Thornaby Village in the NRCFA Sunday County Cup quarter-finals on Sunday February 8.

The rest of the draw is as follows; Guisborough Town under-21s v Sportsmans FC, The Citz v North Ormesby Cons, Thornaby Meerkats v Northallerton Police.

Scarborough Athletic or Thornaby United will travel to the winners of Marske United and Middlesbrough FC under-21s/Reserves in the NRCFA Senior Cup semi-finals.

Boro’s original meeting with Thornaby was postponed due to a frozen pitch on Tuesday and the teams will try again at Queensgate on Tuesday February 3, 8pm ko. The Marske-Middlesbrough clash is scheduled for February 10.

York City entertain the winners of the Guisborough Town v Whinney Banks clash in the other half of the draw.

The Senior Cup semi-finals must be played by February 28.

Scarborough Ladies under-14s are at home to Cleveland Juniors in the NRCFA under-14s girls semi-final on Saturday February 21.

The other game in this draw is Redcar Town v Poppleton.

York League premier division leaders Old Malton St Mary’s have been drawn at home to Teesside League club Redcar Newmarket in the semi-finals of the NRCFA Saturday County Cup.

This game, as well as the other semi between Dringhouses and Thirsk Falcons, will be played on Saturday February 14.
