It will be all change for Scarborough Athletic when they travel to Whitby Town on Saturday for their fourth pre-season friendly
Boro will include new signings midfielder Pete Davison and keeper Mark Hales, though they will be without a trio of other players.
Defender Daz Winters and former Whitby duo of Ryan Blott and Tony Hackworth are all unavailable for the game at the Turnbull Ground.
Boss Rudy Funk is not too concerned by these absences though as he feels that it gives other players the chance to make their mark.
Funk will have a hefty number of players to choose from as his recruitment conveyor belt has brought a total of 11 new faces into the club.
The latest signings Hales and Davison both made their pre-season debuts against Rainworth on Tuesday night in the 1-0 defeat.
Prior to that Boro had beaten both Eastfield and Eccleshill in their previous preparatory outings.
Funk said: “We have chosen quite a few interesting games for pre-season, one of our most intriguing is the Whitby one.
“It is probably our nearest local derby in pre-season, so we will be looking for a decent crowd and a good showing.
“We will be without Daz, Tony and Ryan, who are all away, but this gives the other lads the chance to come in and impress.
“That is the sort of thing that pre-season is all about.”
