Two more in, one out at Boro

Following on from the arrivals of defender Tom McNamee, keeper Nick Draper and Spaniard Carles Lleches-Parra, the Boro boss has now recruited former York City man Dave Merris and 20-year-old Richmond Lee, who has spent time with Fleetwood Town.

Attacker Fernando Moke has left the club to join Ossett Town, following Alex Metcalfe out of the door.

Kittrick said: "They are players that will make us stronger as a squad, which is what we need.

"I've managed Dave before, he is a player with masses of experience and he will be a great lad to have in the changing room.

"Richmond is somebody who has been recommended to me. He has been at Fleetwood under-21s and Ilkeston Town. At the moment he's looking to get some games under his belt."
