Harrison grabs two tries as Scarborough clinch Brods success
Scarborough RUFC produced a solid away performance to beat Old Brodleians 32-13 in Yorkshire One.
Lee Douglas' side were left frustrated after their home clash against North Ribblesdale was cut short just after half-time due to an injury to the referee with them leading 14-0.
The Silver Royd side put that frustration behind them in style with a solid win on the road at an Old Brods' side who were sitting fourth in the Yorkshire One table heading into the clash.
An early Graham Hogg penalty handed Scarborough the lead, before Tom Harrison touched down to extend the Scarborough lead to 8-0.
Despite playing up a slope in the first half, Scarborough extended their lead when Harrison galloped over for his second try.
Hogg converted to make it 15-0.
The hosts battled back and kept themselves in the contest with a try just before the break, giving them a lifeline at 15-5.
The two sides exchanged penalties, Scarborough landing theirs to take an 18-5 lead before the hosts narrowed the scoreline to 18-8.
The result was put beyond any doubt when American back row Devin Ibanez touched down and Hogg converted to make it 25-8.
Scarborough weren't finished just yet though and they further extended their advantage when Tom Ratcliffe grabbed another try, handing Douglas' side the bonus point in the process.
Hogg again landed the conversion and Scarborough led 32-8.
There was still time for the hosts to hit back with a consolation try, but Scarborough had already done more than enough to come away with the 32-13 victory.
