Graham School pupils participating in sports fixtures in the new year will be doing so in several new kits after receiving generous sponsorship from a number of local businesses recently.
Head of PE, Jon Hough said: “We’ve been working hard over the past three years to secure several new kits for our pupils and the generosity of the local business community has been overwhelming, particularly in these austere times.
“We’ve established some excellent working relationships with Rumours, Shoreline Suncruisers, DSJ Ltd (formerly Jepson Builders), Florios, Trophy Trader, Yorkshire Tyre Centre at Ganton and ADL of York.
“Many of the companies have strong family links to the school such as Florios and DSJ Ltd, and these businesses have been particularly generous with their support by sponsoring multiple kits.
“At Graham we aim to deliver the highest quality PE possible to all of our pupils and the chance for our gifted and talented performers to wear these kits in competition is just the icing on the cake.
“Despite securing several new kits over recent years we are still looking for sponsorship of football, rugby and basketball strips for a number of year groups and would welcome further sponsorship from other local businesses.”
