Kumar Sangakkara announced as guest speaker at Scarborough Cricket Club dinner

Sri Lankan batting legend Kumar Sangakkara is heading to Scarborough Cricket Club as the guest speaker at a dinner in the President's marquee on Saturday July 18 2020.

This event will be held the day before Yorkshire play against Nottinghamshire in the Royal London Cup at Scarborough's North Marine Road ground.

A club statement said: "We are delighted to announce that Kumar Sangakkara will be our guest speaker at a dinner on Saturday 18 July 2020 to be held in the Presidents marquee at North Marine Road.

"It’s very unlikely that Kumar will be speaking anywhere else in Yorkshire in 2020 due to his extremely heavy workload as a Sky television commentator and as President of the MCC.

"Tickets for the four-course meal will be £50 per head with a discount for Scarborough club members.
