Scarborough Athletic Club runners took part in the Walkington 10k road race.
The first Scarborough runner to finish was Richard Maw up in 20th overall in 38.28 minutes. He was followed by his son Daniel Maw and Richard Buckle who had their own battle, with Richard just edging out Daniel by one second in 37th place, a personal best time of 40.24.
Dave Gadsby and Ralph Broadley both finished well inside the top 100, with Dave clocking 41.34 for 75th place, and Ralph Broadley 90th and third over-60 in 43.27.
Chris Patrick finished inside the top half of the field in 263rd in 50.01, and Pete Barnard was just outside in 288th with 51.90. Harry Forkin was not far behind Pete in 322nd and was the third over-65 in 52.42.
In the accompanying Family Fun Run the Maw family was well represented by Joe Maw who was ninth overall in 12.6, and Jack Maw who was well up the field in 26th overall of a record number of 126 finishers in 13.31.
