With all the debate about sporting facilities rumbling on in Scarborough, Pindar Tennis Centre is shining the light for sport in Scarborough .
The indoor tennis centre at the back of Pindar Leisure Centre has thrived since it opened and junior and senior players alike are benefitting from the facility.
Scarborough & District Sports Council’s sports development officer Matt Hewison joined the three of us on the sports desk for a bit of coaching and observation with experienced coach Adam Tildsley.
We were shown the basics of the forehand, backhand and the serve.
We were each told where we were going wrong by Adam and worked on our techniques with him in close attendance.
Adam runs the mini tennis coaching sessions alongside Carl Hazel and they are keen to get as many young aspiring tennis players on board as possible at the impressive indoor centre at the rear of Pindar Leisure Centre.
Juniors can be signed up for one session per week for a term at £44, while if you want to try before signing up, each individual session is £5.
Anyone wanting to find out more should ring Adam on 07967313030 or Carl on 07813611149.
A great sport to get involved in with the coaching and facilities on offer.
