Inspired by the Tour de Yorkshire, a firm of solicitors are getting into the saddle to raise for two worthy causes.
Staff at Murray Hills in King Street, Bridlington, plan to pedal for all they are worth on exercise bikes in their own Tour de King Street.
Between 9am and 4.30am on April 30, staff will be in the saddle to raise money for Bridlington Lifeboat and the Cash for Kids charity.
Organiser Emma Long said: “None of the staff will be doing the Tour de Yorkshire Ride so we have organised our own event. So far five members of staff are taking part including solicitor Chris Hutchinson who ran the London Marathon in aid of Contact a Family last year.”
Other staff members have also taken part in marathon events and plan more in the future.
The firm has never done anything like this before but has raised money for the Macmillan cancer charity in the past through various events, coffee mornings and sponsored walks.
Donations can be made at their office at 10 King Street, Bridlington on Thursday April 30 between 9am and 4.30pm. Alternatively people can text SOLS66 £1 to 70070 Or visit: www.Justgiving.com/murrayhillssolicitors
