WESTWAY’S Danny Price is all set for his professional debut.
The 25-year-old will step into the cruiserweight category for his pro bow after spending much of his senior amateur career as a heavyweight.
An opponent has yet to be lined up for the bout which takes place at Bolton Arena on October 22, but Price is positive that he will be taking his place on the same bill as Scott Quigg and Jason Booth.
He said: “Somebody was lined up to fight, but when they found out it was against me they pulled out.
“I will definitely be fighting, they will get somebody in.
“Sparring and training has been going well for me. I’ve been sparring with some decent lads and I am just about ready for it now.
“It is a little bit different to training as an amateur because it is strength work and about sitting down on your punches.
“I am really enjoying it though.”
A bus to take local fans to the bout will leave the Star in Cayton at 4.15pm on the day.
Price is set to take to the ring at 7.30pm.
