Scarborough boxer George Rhodes Jnr is set to make his return to the ring at the Barnsley Metrodome on Friday September 16.
Rhodes has been out with a wrist injury, but he’ll make his comeback on the same bill as his stablemate George Horner.
Horner meets Fonz Alexander on the Barnsley bill, while Rhodes could be facing Steven Backhouse.
Rhodes said: “The wrist is feeling better and I start sparring this weekend.
“I can’t wait to get back in the ring now.”
Horner is expecting a tough night against Alexander, who won his last fight by knockout.
“He’ll be a tough kid and I’ve watched clips of him on YouTube, but I should be too skilful for him.”
Ring Rhodes on 07896 568611 and Horner on 07803 549138 for tickets.
