Scarborough produced a dramatic comeback to claim a share of the spoils after being 2-0 down away to Bradford 2nd with 10 minutes to spare.
The goals came through Jonny Scott just Chris Tait in a fixture that had been rescheduled after been called of due to snow falling 20 minutes into the game earlier in the season.
The first 15 minutes were promising for Scarborough as they were stringing together numerous completed passes and playing around the back of the opposition’s defence.
Bradford were playing two attackers very high up the pitch, which took Scarborough out of the game and it was Tim Allison’s sheer heroics and acrobatics in goal that preserved the scoreline, but only for so long.
The home side added two quick goals.
The first came through a rare attack on goal where the build up play within the D was precise, allowing their striker to tap in from close range.
The second goal came through an accurate strike within the D.
Scarborough did brilliantly to respond by winning numerous short corners.
The combination of Tait and Aaron Dyson came desperately close, while Nicholas Thompson and Josh Briggs provided successful link-up play on the right side and it provided goal-scoring opportunities within the D.
Scarborough thought they had scored through forward Samuel Echevarría, but the goal was disallowed for the ball making contact within the build up.
Thompson saw a green card after an unfortunate incident before Scarborough’s determination and desire paid off as they were rewarded with two goals within 10 minutes.
The first was through midfielder Scott, who reacted quickest to the rebound from open play.
The second and decisive equaliser came through Defender Tait, who produced an accurate strike to give the keeper no chance making the final score 2-2 in a trilling encounter.
Man of the match was goalkeeper Allison after keeping Scarborough In the match with a string of heroic saves.
Both Scarborough’s teams have preserved their league statuses with the firsts and seconds both finishing ninth.
