Three members of Scarborough Athletic Club competed in the latest of the weekly Sewerby Parkruns.
Andrew Fleming made a successful event debut when finishing first overall in 18 minutes 24 seconds.
He was followed by another event debutant Neil Scruton, who was ninth overall and the first over-65 in a new course record for this age group of 21 minutes exactly.
Lynzie Fleming was seventh woman in a new personal best time of 26.09 which was an improvement of three minutes.
Two of Scarborough Athletic Club’s leading veteran fell runners competed in the latest round of the Esk Valley Summer Fell Race series of races, which was held at Maybeck Three Crosses near Whitby.
The course was over a distance of 5.9 miles with 1,275 feet of climb.
Neil Scruton was 16th overall and the first over-65, and Sue Haslam finished seventh woman overall, and the first over-60.
Both Neil and Sue are favourites to finish first overall in their respective age groups.
