Scarborough's Jamie Scotter cruised to a brutal first round stoppage victory against Polish opponent Premyslaw Binienda in his pro debut last night.
Boxing for the first time in the paid ranks at Hull City Hall, Scotter was welcomed to the ring by a rousing reception from a vocal travelling support from Scarborough
Buoyed by a deafening reception, it appeared that Scotter was in no mood to ease his way into life in the pro ranks as he quickly set about Binienda with a series of lusty combinations to head and body.
A vicious uppercut from Scotter bloodied his Polish opponent and the Scarborough man sensed an opportunity to finish the job early in front of his excited fans in the scenic Hull City Hall.
Scotter pounced on Binienda, ramming home hurtful hooks to body and head, trapping his bloodied opponent against the ropes and giving the referee no choice but to save the Pole from further punishment with the bell for the end of the first round imminent.
