TWO of England’s finest stars were in town to play an exhibition match to mark the annual end of season presentation evening for the Scarborough & District McCain Table Tennis Association.
Six-time England champion and five-time Commonwealth gold medallist Alan Cooke, and current England women’s number one Kelly Sibley were at Graham School’s table tennis centre to showcase their skills and present the end of season trophies.
League secretary Tony Wigley said: “Alan and Kelly produced a magnificent exhibition match at our annual presentation.
“We had a great turn-out, with 92 table tennis enthusiasts attending the exhibition and several players played challenge matches against Kelly and Alan.
“I’d like to thank all the volunteers from the LMC and Premier Club for their invaluable help at the presentation evening.”
