Former Scarborough ABC boxer Matthew Tinker is heading to Liverpool’s Echo Arena hunting for ABA glory next weekend.
Tinker, who now boxes for London-based Dale Youth, was edged out in the final of the Irish ABAs earlier this year and will be aiming to go one better this time around.
Light-heavyweight Tinker won the London ABAs and then was forced to fight a qualifier to make it through to the last eight in Liverpool.
Tinker goes up against familiar foe Joshua Buatsi, Thomas Whittaker-Hart, Ashley Vanzie, Reece Ellis, Gary Mayor, Dan Azees and Bryce Goodridge in his bid to achieve ABA success.
The weigh-in starts from 7.15am on Friday April 24, with the quarter-final draw following shortly after.
