The 18-year-old, who works as a personal trainer at Choices Gym in Eastfield, claimed a win and three second places at Donington Park last month.

He said: “This is my novice year and I’ve been doing well in Auto66 events, despite breaking my hand in March, which kept me out for eight weeks.

“It has been great to move up to the Thundersports GB events at Donington and I’d love to eventually move up to British Superbikes level.”

The racer added: “I won three third-place trophies from Derby Phoenix at Cadwell Park in the stocktwins class.

“Then I earned a win and three second-place awards, also from Derby Phoenix at Donington, through Thundersport GB in the Derby Phoenix 650 open class, which was run within the Avon Tyres stocktwins.”

Tolliday has two rounds left this year, both at Cadwell Park, one with Thundersport GB this weekend and one with Auto66 the following week.
