Scarborough Youth Development Officer, and injured first-team player Tom Harrison, was as disappointed as his teammates after Saturday’s dramatic 20-18 defeat at Keighley in Yorkshire One.
“Keighley are a good side and have been on a great run lately but we run them ragged in the first half and had we managed to put away all of the chances we made we would have been out of sight by half-time.
“We did score a couple of memorable first-half tries and it was good to see Tom Ratcliffe back among them. Keighley really turned up in the second half and our defensive effort was outstanding with Craig Farrell and Luke Raines leading the way.
“We really missed Faz (Farrell) when he was sent off in the second half but the team spirit was good and had Tom Ratcliffe landed the injury-time penalty then we would have deserved the win.
With all three of our remaining games at home we are confident of a strong finish to the season.”
