As expected, Scarborough will tackle Blackburn in the National Intermediate Cup quarter-finals at Silver Royd on Saturday March 14.

Blackburn, who beat Aspatria 36-12 and drew 16-16 with Northwich to make the last eight, are currently joint-top of the North Lancs/Cumbria One division.

Scarborough’s opponents on March 14 have lost just twice all season and have scored 842 points in their 20 outings, conceding just 200 points in the process.

Scarborough hammered Consett 55-0 and battled to a 34-24 victory at Medicals to seal their place in the last eight and move just 160 minutes away from a dream final date at Twickenham.

If Scarborough win, they could meet Bridgnorth or Northampton Old Scouts on Saturday April 4, with the final on Sunday May 3.

Coney Hill meet Salisbury in the South West clash, while Fullerians, Bromley, Maidstone and Chiswick do battle in the London and South East section semi-finals this weekend.
