Scarborough RUFC officials have expressed their delight after hosting their first international clash at their Silver Royd HQ.
The club’s assistant director of rugby Nick Ingham said: “Sunday was a remarkable success and we have received excellent feedback from both teams on the high standard of facilities and overall level of service that we as a club provided.
“Hosting an event like this can be logistically challenging with significant work taking place behind the scenes.
“However, yet again our excellent staff and volunteers worked hard to ensure the event went smoothly.
“A fixture like this is good not only for the club but for the whole town and from a spectators point of view following on from our previous county and North of England fixtures, it was fantastic to see a high standard of rugby at Silver Royd yet again. “
SRUFC are set to host their second county game when Yorkshire tackle Durham on Saturday May 18.
