Scarborough’s Darren Fearn will be mixing it with rugby’s elite next season after signing for Aviva Premiership side Sale Sharks.
Fearn, 25, joins the Sharks after impressing in the Championship for Bedford Blues this season.
Fearn will also be in european action with his new club after the Sharks qualified for the revamped European Rugby Champions Cup after finishing sixth in the top flight this season.
The former Newcastle Falcons and Bedford prop will be joining a host of big names including Danny Cipriani and Mark Cueto at Sale, and he can’t wait to get going now.
Fearn said: “It’s a great opportunity for me to go and play in the Premiership again, and also in the European Cup too, which will be great for me.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be joining such a big club and I’ll be looking to hit the ground running in pre-season.”
Sale’s director of rugby Steve Diamond said: “Darren has been playing consistently well for Bedford in the Championship and he has been on our radar for a while.
“He is a young lad, English and I am sure he will prove to be a valuable member of our squad next season.”
