Scarborough RUFC stalwart Graeme Jeffrey is relishing Saturday’s National Intermediate Cup shoot-out with Newcastle-based Medicals.
It’s a winner-takes-all clash for the Silver Royd side after they both beat Consett, the other team in their group.
If Scarborough can come away with a win they’ll set-up a last-eight clash and will be two wins away from a trip to Twickenham.
Jeffrey said: “Last year’s Shield final was the biggest game I’ve played in for the club, but this is the icing on the cake in that the potential prize at the end is so huge.
“For any rugby player to play at Twickenham would be massive. We need to go out and be ruthless at Medicals to win the game.
“It would be huge for the club to go through, especially if we could get a home draw.”
