We’ve obviously got a huge game at Medicals a week on Saturday to think about, but Hullensians come to Silver Royd on Saturday and I feel we owe them one.
We have a bit of a score to settle with Hullensians.
We thought we deserved something out of the game at their place and that decisions went against us a bit.
To come away with a defeat from their place was very hard to take, we were very hard done to.
It’s one thing saying that and another doing something about it and the players will have to put that right with a strong performance on Saturday.
We’re all looking forward to the game and then to a huge, huge game for the club up in Newcastle.
It’s a big opportunity for the players and one they need to take with both hands.
We have done well to get to this stage and it would be a massive shame if the club couldnt’ progress in the competition.
We’ll be resting Corey Dennis against Hullensians to keep him fresh for the big game. He has a bit of a hamstring problem and we need to keep him fresh.
We’ll have Harry Domett back for this Saturday, which is a huge boost as he’s an influential player for us.
I’ll perhaps bring Tom Chadwick back in at 10 for Hullensians and shift Tom Harrison to 15.
They’re both quality operators and we need them both in the team.
We need to keep them both sharp and match fit and I have no doubt they can both play in a number of positions too.
Saturday’s defeat at Doncaster Phoenix was frustrating.
We ran them close and restricted them to very few chances in the game.
They never really looked that threatening and we had chances to win the game.
You need decisions to go your way if you’re going to beat the best teams in the league, and they didn’t go our way.
Yes, it would have been great for us to end their winning run, but we ran them closely again and we can take great heart from that.
It just shows they have that winning mentality, they just about did enough.
