Kiwi Blake Nightingale has agreed to extend his stay at Scarborough RUFC for another season.
Nightingale was expected to leave the club after their Yorkshire Shield final clash with Ilkley on Sunday, but he has had a change of heart and will be plying his trade at Silver Royd next season, much to the delight of coach Lee Douglas.
Douglas said: “It’s great news that Blake has decided to stay with us another season.
“He started very brightly and had to adjust his game to adapt to the conditions and referees over here.
“I fully expect Blake to shine next season.
“There are big plans in place with players coming and going.
“I’m excited about how things are panning out. We’ll be strong next season.”
