Scarborough were left frustrated after Saturday's Yorkshire One game against North Ribblesdale was abandoned early in the second half with the hosts leading 14-0.

Scarborough started quickly with two tries in the opening 10 minutes, Mikey Readman went over from close range followed by Tom Ratcliffe after a break by Graham Hogg, who converted both, the latter a superb kick from the touchline.

There was no further scoring and right at the start of the second half the referee, Mr Weston, pulled up having chased a Jordi Wakeham break.

He was unable to continue and with no suitably qualified referee present the game had to be abandoned
