Scarborough Rugby Union Football Club have announced its two new main club sponsors for the 2015/16 campaign.
Dalby Offshore and RooGreen Ventures LLP are backing the club as leading sponsors as well as sponsoring the first XV’s shirts for the coming season.
Stuart McNiven, managing director of Dalby Offshore, said: “We’re delighted to be on the front of the new Scarborough RUFC first team shirts for the season.
“It demonstrates Dalby’s continued support of local rugby and other sporting events in the area.
“We’re hoping for another great season at Silver Royd and that, in some small way, our joint sponsorship with RooGreen LLP will assist in a trophy or two along the way.”
Brian Davidson, CEO of RooGreen Ventures LLP, was appointed strategic development director of Scarborough RUFC in 2014 and has played a key part in the expansion of Barons Fitness Centre.
He said: “I had no hesitation in sponsoring the club this year.
“The club really does offer the town a fantastic range of facilities and I’ve been overwhelmed by the friendliness of its members.
“I’d urge anyone to come along and experience the club for themselves.
“I’d also ask local businesses to come and use the facilities and enjoy our match day experience with their guests.”
This is the club’s sixth year at the J.M. Guthrie Clubhouse on Scalby Road.
With its recent gym extension, a new ladies’ rugby team and a growing youth section, the club now boasts over 1,500 members.
Graeme Young, Scarborough RUFC chief executive, added: “We’re delighted that Dalby Offshore and RooGreen Ventures have come on board as our main sponsorship partners.
“With the support of two extremely successful businesses, we’re confident that the club, and our membership base, will continue to grow throughout the coming season.”
