Scarborough RUFC skipper Govier gearing up for return to rugby action
Scarborough RUFC skipper Drew Govier insists that the RFU’s provisional start date has given his side something to work towards, writes Charlie Hopper.
Having not played rugby since the season was brought to a halt in March, Govier is excited to get back in action.
He said: “It’s been really tough for everyone but Matty (Jones) put plans in place and a big group chat to keep everyone included.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the lads again and it’ll give us a chance to get back into a rugby environment and get ready for the restart.
“We’ve been waiting for the date for a while and thankfully things are starting to come together and there is light at the end of the tunnel.
