Scarborough RUFC will be aiming to cast an eye over their Yorkshire Shield opponents this weekend when they play host to Selby in Yorkshire One.

Lee Douglas’ men will tackle Selby in the Shield on February 22, with the winners moving into the the final against either Ilkley or West Leeds.

Scarborough were edged out 22-20 on the road at Selby earlier this season, so the Silver Royd side will also be planning a revenge mission.

It won’t be an easy task for Scarborough though as Selby lie fifth in the table, nine points clear of themselves.

They also haven’t lost a league fixture since early December, their last defeat being a tight loss against leaders Dinnington.

Scarborough will be buoyed though by last weekend’s Shield success against Guisborough, which proved to be only their second win of the year so far.
