Silver Royd to host fifth annual Scarborough RUFC Ladies Day

Saturday brings the fifth annual Ladies’ Day event at Scarborough RUFC’s home fixture with Pocklington.

Guests will receive a red carpet and prosecco reception, followed by two-course luncheon, bumper raffle, and entertainment.

Doors for the sold-out event, which also includes Scarborough’s North One East fixture with Pocklington, open at 11am.

Organiser Craig Farrell said: “We’re delighted to be hosting our annual Ladies’ Day event again and we’re looking forward to hosting 230 ladies for what is always a brilliant and thoroughly enjoyable day.”

“Demand for tickets far exceeded our expectations and previous years’ sales, which is testament to the work that everyone at the club has put into it.

“It meant that we needed to hold a ballot to allocate tickets this year.”

Over the last four years the Ladies’ Day has raised in the region of £4,000 for various charities.

This year the event will be raising money for Sands – the still birth and neonatal death charity.

“We couldn’t raise the money for charity that we have done without the support and generosity of all the local business who donate raffle prizes year upon year, and I thank them all for their continued support of the event,” added Farrell

Supporters of the event, who have donated raffle prizes include: North Yorkshire Water Park, Inclusive Fitness, SikSilk, Gavin Fitton Strength & Fitness, Lazenbys on York Place, Holy Cow, Liberty Retreat, Alpamare Scarborough, Dexters Surf Shop, The Farrier, Carols Plaice Fish and Chip Shop Scarborough, Stephen Joseph Theatre, Az Turkish Restaurant, The Crown Spa Hotel, Scarborough Spa, JS Financial Planning, Blue Ruby Hair and Beauty Salon, Barons Fitness, Hartley’s Cafe-Bar, Gavin Wakeham Massage, Sharon Tait and Hollywood Plaza.
